Besides his family, he is survived by his younger brother the acclaimed actor Richard Dick Chamberlain of the class of at Beverly, who was also a top sprinter on the Beverly Track team. From to he was part of the Beverly Hills education system.
He passed away recently from his battle with Leukemia. He was 74 yrs. I read the stories in the Beverly Hills Weekly and Beverly Hills Courier on his passing and not a word was stated that he went to Beverly High or that he was on the track team.

I want to rectify that here on our website. One of his great loves at Beverly was being part of the track team. He was our 1 runner in the yards race on varsity and held the frosh soph yd record and the yd record when he then ran for Beverly. I remember when I was a freshman at Beverly inSteve introduced himself to me, and how he loved his being on the Beverly track team, telling me stories of the team and always encouraged me in my track endeavors, even when I broke the yd record.
